Having previously studied chemistry in Prague, Martina joined the fashion textile course at CSM and graduated from the MA with a distinction. She started her own label in 2011 and her background in the sciences still manifests itself in the way she experiments with textiles to create her collections. In particular she has found leather to be the most versatile allowing her to punch and cut to create striking patterns with her hand woven technique. Martina always maintains an ethical stance in her work and the leather she sources is always of the highest quality by-product. The company is based in London and sell in concept stores worldwide. Our products are made of hand-cut, hand-woven and carefully sourced leather. We collaborate with ECCO, the world’s most environmentally friendly tannery who runs its production on 75% biofuel along with strict water usage policy. We are working towards zero waste in our production, precision cutting the leather by CNC machines and reusing any excess. Our handcrafted textiles are woven by highly skilled woman artisans who are part of refugee charity project in Netherlands where the profit goes back into the community.
