Alice Bracken is a womenswear knitwear designer based in the UK. Her very colourful and experimental knitwear is founded from a love of collage and experimenting with materials from childhood. Her work uses a wide range of colours, yarns, textures and materials. As well as being competent on domestic, dubied, and shima seiki knitting machines she also uses hand manipulation skills such as hand knitting, crochet and hairpin lace in her work.
PRESS: Selected work was shown at Spinexpo (Shanghai and Paris) in 2016 and 2017. Selected samples were also shown at Premiere Vision Paris in February 2017. Portfolio was chosen out of 30 students to be shown at the BFC portfolio day in London 2017 to represent WSA. Her work has also been selected to show at New Designers in London July 2017.
